There will always be five of us
BOYZONE’S devastated stars opened their hearts about how they’re coping with the tragic loss of Stephen Gately to tell the Daily Star: “There will always be the five of us.”
Single cover revealed
The Fast show
The Adelaide Motorcycle Festival ’10, to give the event its full title, has something for everyone, ranging from the latest models, to a trials arena, race bikes, classic bikes, choppers, scooters and karts, stunt riders and an autojumble.
Shane Lynch from Boyzone will do the honours and open the show. The event in effect becomes an all-Ireland show this year as promoter Billy Nutt tells me no exhibition is being held in the Republic.
New single and video plays
Ronan will be playing ‘Gave It All Away’, the brand new single from boyzone, on his Magic radio show tomorrow. The song, written by Mika was one of the last tracks Stephen recorded with the band and so means an awful lot to the boyz.
Mikey said today:
It’s a very poignant landmark in the history of boyzone. We’re filled with excitement and sadness, but we bravely embrace the future.
We miss you Stephen.
Ronan’s show is on Magic 105.4 tomorrow(Sunday) between 2-4pm UK time. You can listen to the show on player.magic.co.uk.
On Monday Ronan and Keith will on Sky News and there’ll be a chance to see the new video for ‘Gave It All Away’, which will also be available to watch on boyzonegreatesthits.co.uk from Monday. Part of the video sees the boyz sitting around a table where there is an empty chair and talking about Stephen below a photo that you’ll probably recognise.
As they step forward after what was a heart-breaking and life-changing year for them, 2010 sees boyzone at a new beginning; a new chapter in their ongoing journey and a celebration of all that was, and more importantly now, what is to come.
Don’t forget to let us know what you think of the single and video.
Shane aims for championship.
Shane will be back in the seat of his drift car this year and aiming for the top. The loss of Stephen has made him determined to make the most of everything. He told the Daily Star:
The last year has taught me you have to live life for the now and every day as if it’s your last. Stephen has taught me that, so I have taken two sponsors on board and I’m going to give it a real shot. You can’t think of past crashes or anything like that because I’m a different person now than before. It’s a great opportunity. I’m car mad and it will be a dream come true.
