Mikey has been tweeting this week about a trip to Peru with Keith.

They will be taking a four-day charity trek to the ancient heritage site of Machu Picchu.

They leave on September 27, flying into Lima and then going on to Cusco before starting their trek through the Andes, reaching heights of 4,200m.

After a day or two sightseeing in Machu Piccu, they’ll jet back to Dublin for a well-earned rest.

Keith told us after the Dublin gigs:

“Its amazing to be back on tour with the lads again and playing our home town these last two nights has just been incredible, the atmosphere was electric! This show is definitely the best boyzone has ever done and I can’t wait to bring it to all our fans in the UK now- starting with Wembley tonight and Saturday night. See you on tour!”

After suffering stomach pains during the London Marathon on Sunday, Keith underwent an emergency double hernia operation yesterday in Dublin. Doctor’s have told Keith that with a little rest he should be back on his feet in good time for the Boyzone tour.

Keith and Ronan both completed the Flora London Marathon on what was a very hot and tough day yesterday. Keith ran a very respectable time of 3:52 and Ronan, struggling with a bit of jet lag, came in at 4:15. Thanks to all of those that lined the course to encourage the Boyz on. Afterwards they both had one thing to say…’Never again’!
