boyz join Ronan

Mikey, Shane and Keith joined Ronan on stage for his show last night at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The boyz had a great time last night and the whole thing was captured by Sky News, you can see it this morning on Sky News and watch repeats on Sky Interactive.

The crowd went wild as the rest of the boyz joined Ronan on stage and talked openly about how much they still missed Stephen and what a shock his death has been, but the mood remained upbeat as Keith announced.

Tonight is about movng forward and a new start for boyzone. Stephen wouldn’t have wanted us to be sad, he would have wanted us to dance and have fun tonight, so this is for you Steo. Come on everybody let’s have some fun!

Ronan told the audience:

You have followed us for 17 years, you have made us welcome in your towns and cities and we will never forget the love and support you have shown us. Stephen will always be with us, when we sing, when we perform. He will live on in our music.

Mikey said:

We all miss Stephen so much, but there is strength in us being together. People have been amazing to us. I use Twitter a lot and the messages from Boyzone fans around the world have really lifted me. And for that I just want to say thank you, a very sincere thank you.

To make the day complete the boyz found out that the album, Brother, is topping the midweek album sales chart.

The documentary following the boyz – Life After Stephen – will be shown on ITV2 on 21st March, the same night as the Stephen Gately Tribute show is screened.

How fantastic was that. Just got home from the show and still buzzing. Ronan you were amazing but the icing on the cake was the boyz altogether. Loved it and can’t wait for the tour later in the year.

Don’t know if this will be seen by the girls in seats 70. 71 and 72 of Row 4 in K block but one of them dropped their MP3 (or part of it) and a women in the seat behind picked it up and hopefully handed in to the Royal Albert Hall. Hope so anyway,

It was SO good to see the boyz again last night. I really enjoyed the show and see the boyz smile! :) I also try to smile and be happy that Steo was a part of my life – but I must admit that I’ve been a bit down today, cuz I miss him.
It’s also good to hear that there’ll be a tour later this year :D Gotta start saving again now ;)
